Our Story
Pippa Pottery is named after Pippa the corgi, who has an extra toe on each paw — a quirky detail that makes her one of a kind. Just like her, each handmade piece has its own personality, imperfections, and beauty.
Behind the Pottery
I'm Lizzie, the one-woman studio behind Pippa Pottery. I started making pottery in June 2024 — and what began as a curiosity has become something I genuinely love doing.
Every piece is handthrown on the wheel, glazed by hand, and fired in a shared kiln. No two pieces come out exactly the same — the clay, the glaze, the fire all have a say in the final result. That's not a flaw. That's the whole point.
The Philosophy
I make pottery slowly, in small batches, because that's the only way to make things worth keeping. There's no conveyor belt, no mass production, no shortcuts. Just clay, time, and Pippa keeping me company.
Pippa herself
Pippa is a corgi with a bonus toe on each paw — which technically makes her even more of a good girl. She doesn't make the pottery, but she does approve every piece before it ships.
